I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science at聽Texas A&M University. I earned my Master of Arts in Political Science at the聽University at Buffalo, The State University of New York聽and my Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Economics at the聽University of the Philippines School of Economics. My research focuses on the political economy of state capacity and development, specifically enforcement and compliance in the informal sector. I am currently working on my dissertation that investigates informality as a political equilibrium in weak states, with a regional focus in West Africa and Southeast Asia. In addition, I am interested in political methodology, specifically experimental methods and time series econometrics. My previous works also delve into studies of judicial decision-making, comparative courts, and law and economics.
