The Gokongwei College of Engineering and its Advanced Studies in Engineering seek to contribute to the economic and social development of the Philippines through leadership and innovation in the field of engineering.

The Mission of the De La Salle University’s Gokongwei College of Engineering is (1) to educate and nurture technically competent men and women for careers of leadership and innovation in engineering and other related fields; (2) to become a leading research institution in South East Asia for enhancing the base of engineering knowledge and by developing materials and technology that will help improve the quality of life; and (3) to engage in meaningful and relevant community service activities with government, industry, and the civil society.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Advance Studies in Engineering (ASE) ÌýPrograms
The ASE programs of the ¿ªÔªÕæÈË Gokongwei College of Engineering is one of the most diverse in the country. Its portfolio includes 5 PhD programs for 5 engineering fields and 14 degrees in both Master of Science and Master of Engineering in 7 different engineering majors.

*The Chemical Engineering Department also administers the seventh program of the ASE which is Environmental Engineering program.
The Masters in Engineering programs offer 42 academic units with 6 units practicum while the Masters of Science in various engineering fields offer 30 academic units in addition to a research thesis equivalent to 6 units. The PhD programs of the college include taking up 18 units of course work and a research-intensive dissertation equivalent to 12 units.
